The Day I met a Guardian Chapter 6On Monday Mrs. Williams, the first graders, and I went to park for a class field trip. On the way there, I told about how I had actually met Jack Frost. They were all amazed about it, but they soon got to a conclusion that I loved Jack and started chanting Carol likes Jack(Carol was the nickname they gave me).
When we finally arrived, the boys wanted me to go and have a snowball fight with them, but the girls wanted me to go skate with them on the frozen duck pond. Then they started pulling my arms the direction they wanted me to go.
"Having fun?" Jack asked with a smirk on his face.
"Not funny Jack" I responded.

The Day I met a Guardian Chapter 5When we finally got back to my house. We went inside and went into my room.
"Wow, you have a lot of books," said Jack.
"Yup, I like to read a lot," I told him.
"Want to play a video game?" I asked him.
"Sure, what game?" Jack asked.
"Super Smash Bros. Brawl"
Jack grabbed the controllers while I got the game set up, and put my glasses on. When Jack gave me one of the controllers, he asked,
" Why are you wearing glasses?"
"I'm far sighted so I have to wear glasses to read or see far away" I told him.
"Okay, now you defiantly look like a nerd," Jack told me while laughing.
"Can we just start playing" I aske
The Day I met a Guardian Chapter 4 When we arrived at the North Pole, I saw where we were going to meet the other guardians. At Santa's Workshop. When we got inside, Jack gave me a little tour of the place. I got to meet some of the elves and yetis.
Jack took my hand and led me to a room where there was a huge globe of the world, and there they were the other guardians.
"Guys, I would like you to meet Carolina Bennett, Carolina this is North, Bunnymund, Sandy, and Tooth."
"Hi, it's an honor to meet you guys," I said a little shyly.
We talked for a while. They told me about how they defeated Pitch, Jack showed them the story I wrote. I wondered how Jack got it, and
The Day I met a Guardian Chapter 3On Saturday I went to my backyard to go play in the snow, make a snowman, and a snow angel. As I was walking around my backyard I said
"Next time I see Jack, I should thank him for the snow."
Then I felt a pair of icy cold hands cover my eyes.
"Or you could just thank me right now." Jack whispered into my ear.
I could hear him laughing as I tried to pry his hands off my eyes, but they wouldn't budge. When I finally got his hands off my eyes, I backed away from him a little and threw a snowball at him. After the snowball hit him, I saw that he was giving me a you shouldn't have done that face, then he started throwing snowballs at me.
The Day I met a Guardian Chapter 2 As I walked back into the classroom I kept looking at the necklace the boy had given to me. I kept thinking about what he meant " You got every single detail right," then I remembered the first graders saying the character I named Frost was Jack Frost. Then it all finally clicked into place, the mysterious boy was Jack Frost.
After school was over I started walking home.
"So did you figure out who I am?".
I turned around and saw him and said " I sure did Jack Frost".
He smiled and responded " Now you see why I was shocked that you could see me?".
"Yeah, I guess you don't really see that many thirteen year olds that still
The Day I met a Guardian "How about we let Carolina tell us the story she's writing" said Mrs. Williams
All the little first graders wanted to hear what their teacher's aid wrote. I up got from where I was writing my story, and sat down on the chair my teacher left for me. All the little kids came a sat down around me, as I told the story I wrote called The Guardians.
After I finished telling the story, some of them asked if North was Santa Claus, Tooth was the Tooth Fairy, Bunnymund was the Easter Bunny, Sandy was the Sandman, and if Frost was Jack Frost.
I looked at them and " I'm not sure, I guess maybe"
Emily raised her hand and asked " Do you believe in Sa
Every Angel Deserves a Child"I can't feel the unfurling of my wings, Daddy."
I was not her father. I had entered her life when she was two years old, and she called me Daddy since she never knew her real father. Her mother's death two years ago made me the sole, living parent of an eleven-year-old, and I never felt like I was the right person for the job.
"What do you mean, Asrin?"
"Mom always said that when puberty started I would be the swan that emerged from the ugly duckling. She said I would be able to fly gracefully towards my dreams. But, I don't feel it."
As much of a woman as she was becoming, she was still a child. I wanted to answer her question, but I really had a hard time discussing her blossoming womanhood in the middle of a laundromat. Her pretty eyes were pleading with me, but I told her we'd talk later.
Janet had told Asrin a lot of things before she succumbed to the cancer. The last week or so of Janet's life were morphine-induced fantasy, I think.
Janet and I had met during c
